As a volunteer for the American Indians at the Spanish Colonial Missions, I was honored to be by their side during the first ever Indigenous Night, hosted by the San Antonio Spurs and led by Spurs point guard, Patty Mills. The day started with a blessing and was followed by powerful spiritual dances. Each group wore their regalia proudly to display the beauty and energy that is alive and well among Native Americans. What a blessed day of raising awareness for all indigenous cultures!
